Blend & Style
Most hooded sweatshirts are layered cotton, or polyester blends, but those in the “athletic” or performance family are lightweight and breathable used to block wind. Typically hoodies are an outer layer of clothing. Thus thicker and heavier than a pullover and the pockets serve to keep hands warm, although they have become iconic for the classic “hooded sweatshirt.” (Although they exist, you don’t see very many without the pockets).
Size & Fit
Of course it’s a matter of personal preference, but when shopping for a sweatshirt we recommend a 1/2 size larger than your chest and arm length sizes. They should fit loosely around shoulders, chest and waist but not look to baggy. Comfortably around ears and neck, be warm, breathable and in style!
